Let me begin my speech with a replay of scenes familiar to most， if not all， of those present here today. "Mum， I'm sorry， but I need 3，000 yuan for my tuition this year."
"Mum， it is my friend's birthday tomorrow， I must buy her a present." "Mum， this jacket was out of fashion long ago， would you do me a favor? " Take. Take. Take. The relationship between a mother and a child always seems to follow such a pattern. I know my mother is always there for me， providing me with everything I need; from food to clothing， from tuition to pocket money. I never thought twice about all she did until one day she said， "Will there be a time that you'll say you have taken enough from me? " Like a child endlessly asking， we humans， throughout history， have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. We enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture， yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. We take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times， yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. We appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry， yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. Our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. As we tragically learned from last summer's floods. we cannot continue our carelessness. Finally， standing here at the threshold of the 21st century， we cannot help thinking of our posterity. Nature is not only the mother of the present generation， but also the mother of the generations to come. How severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? How much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? Let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. Let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. With this new start， I firmly believe， that our children， and our children's children will live in a brand new age of green trees， clean air， crystal water， blue sky and an even more promising world!

ladies and gentlemen, teachers, my fellow students:
i am very excited and feel it's a great honor to stand here to deliver myspeech. what i'm going to talk about is “choice in my life”
i can still remember the first time i failed in a singing contest. iimmediately ran to my grandma, shedding lots of tears of course! i cried loudlyand could hardly utter a word!
then, badly needed forting words and touch came from grandma. i graduallyregained my sense of pride and a sensible control of my feelings. yet, headdown, i said: “grandma, i have no choice, and i have to give up, right?” “lookat me, my dear!”she said gently. i looked up, straight into her eyes. what i sawwas a shining, sweet, and loving stream from the bottom of her heart! then,there came the gentle voice of hers: “no, no, no…” her head shaking, while eyessmiling. “why don't you give more attention to the details?” she continued.
no other words were needed any more! i started practicing and rehearsingonce again, paying special attention to those little things that i used toignore. as a consequence, my overall performance was quickly elevated to a newhigh! without much trouble, in another singing contest held months later, iwon!
what do i learn from this experience? never give up lightly! life's full ofopportunities, and lots of them! to realize your dreams and fulfill yourpotential, you must learn to work hard and smart and steer your lifeboat wisely!as a li ling's sportswear mercial goes “everything is possible!” but not withoutsweat, devotion, and tears sometimes!
life is a long journey, during which we are surely going to face manychallenges, experience lots of failures, and equally, many opportunities arewaving to us, while sweet rewards are waiting for us! to transform theseopportunities into fruitful results, or turn those challenges and failures intovaluable assets, we must learn to seize the good ones and not to retreat lightlyin front of difficulties.

Good morning,ladies and gentlemen,today i am so happy to stand here to giveyou a speech. Or rather, a real story of mine.
Though with time going by,i can still remember what you once told me. Youshould be a brave girl. Smiling,you looked into my eyes. Year in,year out,nearlymost of my memories are fading little by little. But only this simple sentenceremained,without being forgotten in my life.
Again and again,i can not stop myself from thinking about it. Soordinary,but so impressive,so moving,just like the brightest sunshine,it helpsme go through the darkest night. I am such a sensitive girl in your heart. Yousaid,my sorroful facial expression made feel so distersssed. However,there is onething i never tell you,that is ,i am being a big girl gradually with your wordsand smiles. I never tell you about it,for i believe oneday,you can see the greatchanges of mine for yourself. That is what i want to do in return. As i know,thatwill be the best gift for you.
I suddenly think of a song named MY HEART WILL GO ON. There is a beautifulsentence going like this. You are safe in my heart. More than once,i was moved totears by it. I know ,i am also safe in your heart. i have already forgotten when itold you i was going to leave for Australia this summer holiday. You just smiledas usual,gently speaking. Whatever you decide to do,i will be in favor of it,but,just onething,remember,when you fell lonely abroad,do not forget we are here,praying for you. We are all around you,far across the distance and space betweenus. i closed my eyes,the flashback started. The memories we had together,once weplayed games on the palyground,we played jokes on each other,you always wrote alot of sentences on my articles to encourage me. And the most unforgetablething,you told me,you believed m i could be a big girl. Sooner or later.
At that specific moment,i suddenly understood the meaning of this sentencetotally. So on that day,i smiled as you used to,looking at you. The last words isaid were,keep walking in sunshine.
Yes,keep walking in sunshine. I said to you ,also to myself. I know i am notalone wiht your pany,and we can keep walking in sunshine till the last minute ofour days.
I promise,i will be a big girl.
